SAVANNAH - Misuzu K. McArthur, 83, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2012.

Mrs. McArthur was born on April 8, 1928 in Yokohama, Japan and moved to Savannah, GA in 1976 with her late husband, SFC U.S. Army Ret. Tommie G. McArthur and her son, Tommie W. McArthur. While living in Japan she worked at the U.S. Army Post Office prior to becoming a full-time "stay at home mom".

Mrs. McArthur was preceded in death by her husband, SFC U.S. Army Ret. Tommie G. McArthur and her brother, Yoshibumi Kasano. She is survived by her son, Tommie W. McArthur of Savannah; granddaughter, Savanna McArthur and grandson, Walt McArthur, both of Savannah.

For those that knew her, knew of her loving, sympathetic and caring attitude, as well as for her love of her family and friends, shopping, and coupons.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m.

A private burial will take place at Beaufort National Cemetery.
